Spa Policies

Booking & Room Availability

The In-Room Spa Experience must be booked 10 days or more prior to your requested date; requests made fewer than 10 days out are subject to availability. Massage services are available in select guest rooms: Rooms 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, 19, 20, and 23 accommodate a single massage, and Rooms 6 and 11 accommodate single or couples massage. The Facial Massage & Skin Care Ritual can be booked in any room, and the Group Skin Care Ritual is hosted in The Foundry.

Gratuity

For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added to all spa treatment prices upon check-out. Additional gratuity may be added at your discretion.

Cancellation

Please provide us with at least a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or change your spa service to avoid being charged. We regret that a lack of notification will result in a 50% billing of your scheduled spa services.

Safety Policy

When booking our spa services, you agree to have a spa treatment or service with a Flow State Licensed Massage Therapist, Esthetician, and/or Yoga Instructor. Agreement is as follows: I give permission to receive spa service(s), treatment(s), and/or therapy, which includes massages, facials, skin care rituals, and/or yoga. I understand that at The Horton Hotel, therapeutic massages, facials, skin care rituals, or yoga services are not a substitute for traditional medical treatment or medications. I understand that my professional licensed massage therapist, esthetician, and/or yoga instructor does not diagnose illnesses or injuries, or prescribe medications. I have clearance from my physician to receive massage therapy and/or spa services to the skin, face, back, and/or body. I understand the risks associated with massage therapy such as superficial bruising, short-term muscle soreness, and exacerbation of undiscovered injury. I therefore release Flow State Massage & Bodywork, The Horton Hotel, and the individual massage therapist, esthetician, and/or yoga instructor from all liability concerning these injuries that may occur during the session.

I understand the risks associated with applying topical oils, chemicals, lotions, and/or heat to my skin during a facial or body treatment. I therefore release the company and the individual therapist from all liability concerning any skin irritations, infections, redness, future breakouts, rashes, and/or swelling that may occur during a facial or body treatment. I understand the importance of informing my therapist of all medical conditions and medications I am taking, and to let the therapist know about any changes to these. I understand that there may be additional risks based on my physical condition. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform my therapist at The Horton Hotel of any discomfort I may feel during the session so he or she may adjust accordingly.

I understand that I or the therapist may terminate the session at any time if the session is inappropriate. I have been given a chance to ask questions about the spa services and my questions have been answered. Draping will be used during the massage session and body treatments; only the area being worked on will be uncovered. This agreement, together with The Horton Hotel’s established spa service regulations, constitutes the full agreement between you and us and cannot be modified except in writing by both parties. You or anyone receiving a spa treatment hereby release The Horton Hotel and Flow State Massage & Bodywork from all claims or liabilities for property loss, personal injury, death, or damages while on the premises or during the use of the wellness spa services. You agree that this waiver is in effect for all massages, facials, skin care rituals, yoga sessions, and/or any other services, and will not expire unless specifically requested by either party. You understand that The Horton Hotel is a professional environment, and that any inappropriate behavior may result in termination of your services without refund.
